HIS Custom Tab

Add-on tabs embedded in your existing HIS — no changes to the HIS itself

Last updated · Mint Medical Technology

Inpatient board (nurses station display) — every bed: occupancy, patient acuity, EWS, latest vitals, medication/IV, labs, allergies, diet, precautions and attending physician; EMAR / Vital Sign / Lab-X-ray / Physician tabs; read live from the HIS
Patient weight-trend chart — weight over time with the normal-BMI band, a trend line and points the system flags as suspicious (spike / acute change / likely keying error); summary cards for latest weight, total change, BMI and monthly trend
Stock / purchasing custom tab — review purchase orders (PO) from the HIS by delivery window, then open a per-line thread between purchasing and the floor (pharmacy / store); messages and attachments live in the customtab database, never the HIS
Near-expiry tab — drugs expiring within N days, per warehouse and lot, with remaining quantity, expiry date and a colour-coded days-left badge (ok / expiring soon / expired); start a thread with purchasing from any row
Item Master tab — search drug, supply and service codes and names (Thai/English); click a row for the detail panel: every price table with effective dates, average and standard cost, billing groups and drug type/group; read-only from the HIS

Key features

A set of add-on tabs that run inside the hospital's existing HIS (iMed) screen as an iframe. They read straight from the HIS database in real time, are strictly read-only, never write back to the source, and need no HIS customisation — installation is just pointing a URL at the HIS custom-tab menu. Four tabs today: an inpatient tracking board for the nurses' station, a patient weight-trend chart with an anomaly detector, an item and drug master with pricing, and a stock/purchasing tab where the purchasing team and the floor discuss each line item — tracking purchase orders (PO), purchase requests (PR), loans/exchanges and near-expiry drugs, with narcotic-administration attachments (threads and files kept in a separate database, never touching the HIS).

  • Opens inside the existing HIS screen — no app switching
  • Reads real time, straight from the HIS database
  • Read-only — never writes to the source, safe for the HIS
  • No HIS customisation — deploy by pointing a URL
  • Built-in demo mode and an offline fallback when the HIS is unreachable

Still have a question?

A single module with sample data can be live in 1–2 weeks. Migrating real data and training staff usually takes 4–8 weeks depending on how much legacy data you have.

Yes. We migrate from Excel, Access or your current database, with a validation pass before go-live.

Yes — every screen, menu, document and report has Lao. Each user picks their own language, and printed reports come out in that language.

Role-based permissions, an audit log, encrypted connections and automatic backups. On-premise deployment is available if data must stay inside your network.

Yes — via a standard API or scheduled file import/export. We have integrated with several HIS and ERP products before.

We recommend it. Pick the module that solves your most urgent problem, then add others once your team is comfortable — the shared core is reused straight away.
